Statement of intent

The brief that I was given was that I needed to combine Fairtrade and fashion and to make a new brand which supports Fair Trade, I have been working on many ideas and I have come up with a brand that follows the brief, WSM clothing is a new brand which supports fair trade with the use of cotton and logos of fair trade products and I feel that this is a good idea because people will recognize what these farmers do and hopefully this will lead to better deals for these people who work hard to provide us with daily products.

We as a world need to think about what others do and Fairtrade farmers work tirelessly to provide us with goods that we use in everyday life and WSM clothing is designed to represent them and our goal is to make them more recognized and thought off.
The target audience is simple and it is for young men and women as it is a unisex product, a cotton t shirt with a banana on which represents Fairtrade and and the comfort of the brand makes it wearable for everyone so that everyone can show their support for fair trade.

Many people in the world do not realise the work that the Fairtrade farmers do for us and many of these farmers come from poorer parts of the world where it is hard to make a living and the work for long periods of time to provide us with goods that we buy like chocolate and bananas and even cotton and much more in order for these farmers to provide for themselves and their families and that is one of the reasons why i have created this clothing brand to support Fair Trade.


Pitch

 Basically my clothing represents fair trade due to its golden bananas, the poster shows more fair trade with the fair trade farms in the background and this represents fair trade which is the brief, we as a nation and other countries need to represent fair trade farmers and we are doing all that we can to help them, come together and support fair trade by purchasing these products.

Teenagers

This image shows a young and vulnerable teenager who had just experienced a near death experience and she was determined to sit her gcse exam the following morning.  Any member of the public will be shell shocked at what just happened however this girl still sat her gcses. This shows bravery and desire and this perhaps could be the message that the mail online website is trying to share that teenagers are not bad or lazy, they want to put these people in a clear bright light. The word brave has been used to show the bravery of the teens that we have today. I agree with this because teenagers do make the choice that suits them and they should have that choice.   This is a more negative story and it tells of a murder which immediately tells us that this article represents teenagers in a bad way. how representations in music videos are chosen to promote the artist(s). Unfinished sympathy was the second song that massive attack released and it was one of the reasons that made massive attack the band that they are today. they wanted to get the whole of Bristol talking and they did just that when this song got released. the post punk theme to this song was not something that many had heard before, clearly massive attack wanted to grab the headlines in a different way and they did just that. they used post punk to great effect and it was something different which the world population clearly liked. even the music video was different as it was all taken in one shot. the amount of time and practice to perform that would have been large and exhausting for the band as they had to spend many hours,days,months to get a good shot and a clip that would be suitable for a music video and the results were worth it. so clearly taking a risk early in a music career can be rewarding as...
